M-PHAZES GOOD GRACIOUS

Late last week the guy's at FAM (Flagrant Artist Management) sent through a pre release promo copy of M-Phazes debut full length album "Good Gracious". Since we left for Melbourne on Thursday night the album has been on repeat. There is so many good tracks on there it's hard to name a stand out few, but for me they would have to be "Home (ft. Delta)" - "Walk On Clouds (ft. Bliss N Eso)" - "The Facilitator (ft. Dialectrix)". My advice, get your hands on this album today, one of the best things to hit my ear drums this year!!

Oz day

Fair to say if you didn't get messy on Oz day, you are Un-Australian..
Our mate Tybias (the apprentice) showed how patriotic he was by getting himself nice and loose at our local establishment.. The bouncers didn't think it was as piss funny as we did though.

A while back we blogged about a good friend of our's Brendan getting an Antisocial Tatt.. He just sent through an updated pic of it with some bling colour!! Look's dam steezy son!! If anyone else has any of our logo's in ink, send them through so we can check them out..

No Peace, but plenty of Love at Wakewars!

It was set to be another historic weekend of madness for the 2010 Wakewars, and it was not short of disappointment. On Friday afternoon, The Ganges, featuring Soup Bonez checked in with Moggy at the Antisocial office to get stocked up with some new threads and some promo gear for the weekend, then made the epic journey to Radelaide, just in time for Shutzenfest! A massive German Beer festival, full of Aussies! After a very large drinking session it was off to the bay for a good nights rest. Saturday morning was our local SA comp, it was a very quick comp since the pro's had to get some practice runs in for the following day. Antisocial rider Ethan Connor, Beccy G and myself all took part and finished our divisions respectively. After a few practice runs from pros it was time to get our drink on! Saturday night was not short of a shy night, with the entire wakeboard community almost selling the Pier One out of alcohol.

The next morning the heads were sore, but we pushed thru, because for the seventh year, Wakewars was about to put on the biggest show for the season. With the largest price money at any Australian competition, and people like Parks Bonifay in attendance, there isn't many other competitions that can compete with it.

'The Pat' down in Glenelg once again bought the goods, with the temperature in the 40's all weekend, which meant plenty of people were getting wet, and it wasn't just the wakeboarders! The scorching weather was perfect for the promo girls, as the leading sponsor Monster Energy had them handing out goodies.

The men's division was packed full of tough competition, with big name riders Jarred Askew, Brenton Priestly, Dean Smith, Ryleigh Pfitzner, Chris O'shea, Harley Clifford and Daniel Watkins. All the men had the skills to pay the bills, with big tricks such as 900's, Whirly 5's and massive glides! The riders also made the most of the obstacles on the course, doing steezy jams on the sliders. In the end the reigning champ Harley took out first place and won six large ones, Dean Smith came second and Austin came third. And we can't forget to mention that local Antisocial rider Ethan Connor also took place in Wakewars, but was knocked out in the first round.

The girls riding was also of very high quality with Hayley Smith taking first, Amber Wing 2nd, and Mildura's very own Bec Gange had an amazing run, putting her in 3rd.

Fresh FM supplies the beats through out the day with some of Radelaide's best DJs. Backing them up, with some rubbish talking on the mic's was Mick Watkins, Kris Bower and myself.

After the preso's we all hit up the Sunset bar for a crazy night of soberness, pfft. After plenty of Jetty Jumping, Penguin slinding, throwing Soupee around, longboarding, VCR's and of course getting to hand out with Parks Bonifay, it was time to head back home to reality unfortunately. And the countdown has started for Wakewards 2011.
